My Happiest Memories.

My Happiest Memories is a poetic exploration of how people grapple with depression through nostalgia, art and personal experience. The film is told through the lens of our narrator, a young woman while reading aloud a poem as she flows in and out of depressive episodes and feelings of longing discontentment after she has moved away from home once again. She reflects and recontextualizes past experience and memories, all the while asking herself what it means to achieve happiness?

Unraveling: A Poetic Doco.

Your brain doesn't wait for you to catch up to it. Nor does it focus when you want to focus. Frankly it's a frustrating thing that more often than not you can’t help feel is working against you. Unraveling attempts to analyse that neurodivergent sensory experience. Busy but lifeless. Void yet deafening. A violent ambience. The film is about how these opposites interact and coexist in the setting of Melbournes northern suburbs with some familiar sights.
